The international business round of diverse manufactures Industry Peru 2019 reached sales of 107.3 million dollars to materialize during the next 12 months. This number loosely surpassed the 4.3-million-dollar figure initially predicted, informed the Commission of Promotion of Peru for the Exportation and Tourism (Promperú).
The commercial platform was attended by 184 buyers from 34 markets, 72% of them attended the wheel for the first time. South America led the largest number of delegations (117 representatives), followed by Central America and the Caribbean (25), North America (24), Europe (11) and Asia and Oceania (7). On the other hand, 241 Peruvian businessmen attended, 87% being micro, small and medium enterprises. It is worth mentioning that for 20% of them, this was their first export experience.
Buyers and exporters made around 2,500 business appointments during this edition. The products that were most in demand were steel balls, mining machinery (locomotives, geomembranes, crushers), flexible food packaging, decking, wooden doors and floors, natural oils and dyes, hyperbaric chambers and disposable medical clothing. In relation to the lines negotiated, mining suppliers generated the largest number of agreements (32%). The distribution of number of agreements is completed by materials for construction (16%); packaging and equipment for the food industry (15%); cosmetics and natural ingredients (7%); equipment, medical and pharmaceutical material (5%); wood manufactures (5%); auto parts (4%) and power line (1%).
