The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperu) was awarded the Best Tourism Office in South America for the fourth consecutive year by the World Travel Awards (WTA) at the gala held in La Paz, Bolivia. “These triumphs support the intense work of promotion led by Promperú, Mincetur and the tourism sector, which demonstrates an articulated work between the public and private sectors. All these efforts give value to our country in the eyes of the world, consolidating it as a destination full of history, culture, nature and a delicious cuisine recognized globally”, said Luis Torres Paz, CEO of Promperu.

The WTA South America is one of the most prestigious events in the travel industry in our region and was attended by the leading experts in the industry. On behalf of our country, the commercial economic advisor of the Commercial Office of Peru Abroad (OCEX) of Bolivia, Pedro Guevara, attended.

The winners of the South American edition will compete in the world edition of the awards, which will be held on November 28 in Oman.
