Peru’s Julio C. Tello Site Museum —located at the entrance to Paracas National Reserve, in Ica— won the Latin American New Culture Destinations of the Year at the Leading Culture Destinations Awards held in London.
The Peruvian museum was nominated along with Mexico’s Museum of Underwater Archaeology, Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) informed.
According to Promperu, the Paracas-based exhibition hall was also a nominee in the Best Architecture category alongside South Africa’s Zeitz MOCAA and Morocco’s YSL Museum.
