Peru’s tourist district of Paracas, located in Pisco province, received nearly 70,000 tourists on the first day of 2020, Tourism and Foreign Trade Chamber (Capatur) Chairman Eduardo Jauregui reported.
According to Capatur, these arrivals generated around US$4 million in revenue.
The most visited beaches were: El Raspon, La Mina, Mendieta, Yumaque, Supay, and Lagunillas, among others.
«The massive presence of visitors — mostly from Lima— confirmed that the good service provided by hotels and restaurants, as well as the wide variety of beaches located within the Paracas National Reserve, which were used as camping grounds to ring the new year,» Jauregui affirmed.
According to the business leader, visitors spent on lodging, food, souvenirs, tours to Ballestas Islands, and visits to the Paracas National Reserve.
